Remotex turns a smartphone into a listening tool. A small attachment with no batteries or electronics fits onto your phone. Our free app records heart and lung sounds, shows them as a graph, and lets you share them with your doctor or vet.

The problem
Telehealth visits grew fast during the pandemic. Patients and clinicians like how easy they are. But on a video call, a clinician can't do a full physical exam. Listening to the heart and lungs is one of the first things they lose.
Remotex started with a simple idea. Give people a low-cost way to capture those sounds at home, so the clinician has more to go on.
How it works
Put the Remotex attachment on your phone. It has no electronics, so there is nothing to pair or charge.
The app shows where to place the phone on the chest, or on your pet's body. Stay quiet and hold still while it records.
See the sound as a graph, add a note, and send the recording to your clinician or vet when you choose to.

Privacy
Every record is linked to an anonymous ID, not to your name.
A recording only leaves your phone when you decide to share it.
You can delete a profile and its records from inside the app.

Heart and lung sounds are our first step. We are also developing AI-guided instructions and more attachments, so patients can collect images, video and sound at home before a visit.
